What Happened

Oregon State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 126 near Walton, OR on September 20th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a Kenworth log truck headed eastbound overturned. The trailer struck a Toyota Prius operated by 25-year-old Sarah Susman which was headed westbound. The truck also struck a Dodge Ram and the Ram collided with an eastbound Ford Mustang. The driver of the logging truck, 64-year-old Shane McVay, was hospitalized with another driver. Susman suffered fatal injuries. Police suspect it was possible that McVay was under the influence of alcohol during the crash.
