State Police are investigating a crash that injured two people at Route 22 in Westmoreland County, PA on July 25th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:15 a.m. Investigators believe a Volkswagen Taco collided with the rear of a dump truck under unclear circumstances, causing the vehicle to spin out of control. It then hit a nearby Ford Ranger, leaving the driver of the Volkswagen with suspected minor injuries. A passenger from the vehicle had more serious injuries, according to police. Officers say the dump truck operator was not injured while the Ford operator was evaluated for possible injuries. Additional information was not available.
