Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at I-79 in Pittsburgh, PA on September 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around midnight. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer is said to have been traveling southbound before alleged crossing a center median and entering into the northbound lanes. From there, the truck collided head-on with a second vehicle and third vehicle, pushing both vehicles into an embankment and catching fire. Both drivers, who were not publicly identified, were pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the third vehicle were treated for undisclosed injuries.
