South Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 378 in Florence County, SC on June 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:35 p.m. According to investigators, a box truck was involved with a collision with two motorcycles under unclear circumstances. One of the motorcyclist, identified as 21-year-old Bates Coy McCutchen, suffered fatal injuries. The other motorcyclist was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The box truck driver was not injured.
