What Happened

State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that killed two people at I-95 in Florence County, SC on December 7th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:50 p.m. and involved two tractor-trailers, a Dodge Journey and a Toyota Corolla colliding under unclear circumstances. Police say the vehicles were in the process of slowing due to a previous crash ahead. The drivers of the Toyota and Dodge died in the collision. One was later identified as 51-year-old William Gomillion. Three others involved were hospitalized for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
