South Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-77 and Carowinds Blvd in York, SC on July 7th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. A highway worker was struck by a box truck after stopping to pick up trash. The worker was struck when a box truck collided with the worker's trash truck which then struck the worker, who suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
