What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at 330th Ave and US Hwy 12 in Edmunds County, SD on September 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:30 a.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck headed northbound on 330th Ave reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a second semi-truck headed westbound at the intersection with US Hwy 12. One driver, 47-year-old Curtis Baker, suffered fatal injuries. The other driver,  59-year-old Steven Dupper, suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized. Police say charges are currently pending. Additional information was not immediately available.
