State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 79 in Hermosa, SD on August 26th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. According to investigators, an SUV operated by 80-year-old Dannie Barcal reportedly turned into the path of a southbound semi-truck while crossing the highway to enter a parking lot. The impact left Barcal with serious injuries that he lated died from. The other driver was not injured. Additional information was not available.
