Houston Police are investigating a crash that injured two women at Airline Dr and Gurney Lane in Houston, TX on June 5th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2 a.m. According to investigators, a vehicle is alleged to have been driving erratically in a parking lot following an argument with another individual. The vehicle is said to have first struck veto vehicles before colliding with two women leaving the parking lot as the vehicle was in reverse. The two women, including Adela Vargas, were taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. Police say the the driver of the vehicle was arrested and allege suspicion that alcohol may have played a factor in the incident.
