What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at I-10 in Caldwell County, TX on November 8th, 2024. Officials say the incident happend around 12:23 p.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck is alleged to have suffered a loss of tire pressure that led to the vehicle losing control and entering into eastbound lanes. There, reprots say the vehicle collided with both a pickup truck and SUV. Authorities say the driver of the SUV, identified as Akbarali Maredia and a passenger, identified as Naushadali Maredia, were both killed. The occupants of the pickup truck, who were not publicly identified, were all seriously injured. Authorities did not have additional information available.
