Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-35E in Dallas, TX on February 10th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:58 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Xterra operated by 68-year-old Alex Okolo is believed to have been slowing down due to construction in the area when a Ford F-250 operated by a 21-year-old driver collided with the rear of the vehicle. The collision caused the Nissan to veer from the road into a nearby concrete shoulder where it struck a metal light pole. From there, police say it also struck a concrete wall before coming to rest. The crash left Okolo with fatal injuries, while the 21-year-old was evaluated for possible injures. Authorities did not provide additional information.
