What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-35 in Georgetown, TX on December 17th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:20 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 540year-old Garland man was reportedly attempting to reverse into the private lot of a car dealership and was, according to investigators, blocking traffic lanes in the process. An approaching Chevrolet Malibu operated by 26-year-old Alexandria Chavarria collided with the truck and Chavarria suffered serious injuries in the collision. The truck driver was uninjured and reports indicate he was charged with Stopped in Roadway/Obstructing Traffic.
