Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-10 in Houston, TX on May 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:52 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Altima operated by 26-year-old Alexis Yvonne Lopez was headed westbound on I-10 when it allegedly failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a commercial van operated by 51-year-old Robert Vinicio Flores. Lopez was, according to reports, seriously injured. Flores was not injured. Officers expressed suspicion that alcohol played a factor in the crash.
