Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 812 in Travis County, TX on December 17th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:41 a.m. A Nissan Altima operated by a 24-year-old Del Valle man was headed the wrong direction when it collided head-on with a Toyota Camry operated by 45-year-old Aleyda Arias Santander. The impact caused the Camry to spin into a Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 51-year-old Austin man. Santander was seriously injured while the Austin man was not injured. The Del Valle man, who police believe may have been under the influence of alcohol, suffered minor injuries. Reports indicate that he was charged with Intoxication Assault and Possession of Marijuana.
