What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-10 in Jefferson County, TX on June 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11:46 a.m. A Pontiac GTO operated by 29-year-old Harold Jones Jr was traveling with custom wheels that police say was overwidth when it lost control and crashed into a concrete barricade. The impact caused the vehicle to spin into traffic, causing a tractor-trailer to collide with a Chevrolet Impala operated by 21-year-old Andrell Janay Leblanc. The Impala then struck a Subaru Crosstrek operated by 52-year-old Sandrea Fontenot. Both Leblanc and Fontenot suffered minor injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was issued a Failure to Control Speed charge. Jones was issued an Over-Width Passenger Vehicle charge. Leblanc was issued a No Driver's License charge.
