What Happened

Two people were killed din a pedestrian accident at NW Loop 820 in Fort Worth, TX on October 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:45 a.m. According to investigators, two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in the westbound lanes of Loop 820. Police say one of the victims, identified as 34-year-old Steven Patterson, was headed to work before he stopped to help assist with an accident. Both he and the other victims, 44-year-old Andres Rodriguez, were struck by a vehicle while outside the vehicles. Rodriguez died at the scene while Patterson was taken to an area hospital with injuries he also later died from. The driver involved fled the scene on-foot. Additional information was not available.
