What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at Martin Luther King Blvd in Harris County, TX on July 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:10 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed while allegedly weaving in and out of traffic. As an eastbound Dodge pickup truck approached a median, the motorcycle collided with the rear of the pickup truck. The cyclist, identified as Andrew Luster, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he died from. The other driver remained at the scene for questioning and police the driver was believed not to be impaired.
