Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-45 in New Waverly, TX on July 7th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:34 a.m. A Nissan Altima operated by 24-year-old Angel Ricardo Legaria was headed north on I-45 as it approached a stop sign intersection. Police say the Nissan failed to yield and continued into the path of a tractor-trailer headed eastbound. The collision resulted in fatal injuries for Legaria. The other driver was not injured.
