Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Private Road 2414 in Hunt County, TX on January 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:02 p.m. A Toyota Camry operated by 30-year-old Angela Puentes was headed northeast on Private Road 2414 when, according to investigators, it failed to negotiate a turn and continued straight instead. The vehicle then crashed into a group of trees, causing Puentes serious injuries. Responding officers allegedly found drug paraphernalia and an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle and records indicate a charge of Driving While Intoxicated was recommended and/or issued.
