What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-635 in Coppell, TX on June 22nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:55 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Patriot operated by 34-year-old Arielle Grier was traveling  eastbound at the time before performing a lane change. While doing so, the vehicle is said to have struck the left rear bumper of another vehicle. The impact is believed to have caused the Jeep to veer into an adjacent lane where it was then rear ended by a commercial truck, pushing the Keep into a concrete barrier in a shoulder. Officials say Grier suffered suspected serious injuries in the collision. Additional information was not immediately available.
