What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have identified the person killed in a crash at I-20 near Pyote, TX on October 9th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:14 a.m. A Chevrolet Malibu operated by 20-year-old Aron Lara reportedly collided with the rear of a westbound semi-truck under unclear circumstances. Lara, who was allegedly not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. The other driver was not injured. Further details were not shared.
