Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at State Hwy 286 in Corpus Christi, TX on May 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:33 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Charger operated by an unknown driver is said to have failed to control its speed before colliding with the rear of a Ford F-150 operated by 41-year-old Arturo Mendez. Following the collision, the driver and passenger of the Dodge allegedly left the scene prior to police arriving. Mendez had serious injuries, according to police.
