Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1472 in Laredo, TX on May 9th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:34 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by 50-year-old Texico, NM man was headed northbound on FM 1472 approaching the intersection with Verde Blvd. Police say the light turned green and a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 31-year-old Arturo Villanueva Vasquez was struck by the truck when it disregarded a red light. The impact caused Vasquez minor injuries. The Texico man was not injured and cited for Disregarding Red Light.
