Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-40 in Oldham County, TX on January 1st, 2025. Officials say the incident happend around 12:21 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Veloster headed eastbound on I-40 is westbound lanes is alleged to have collided with a westbound Ford Bronco. Authorities say the driver of the Ford, who was not publicly identified, was hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the Hyundai, identified as 18-year-old Asaph Mecklenburg, was fatally injured. Additional information was not available.
