Police say the incident happened around 5:53 p.m. A Dodge Ram 2500 operated by 40-year-old Ashley Todd Thomason was headed westbound on University Dr when it crossed a center median, hitting two tress in the process. The vehicle continued forward before jumping a curb and crashing into a chain link fence. Thomason suffered serious injuries and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
