Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information on a crash that led to a fatality at US 277 near Abilene, TX on July 5th, 2022. Officials are saying a Hyundai Sonata was headed southbound on US-277 before it was struck by a northbound Toyota Rav 4 that they allege veered from its lane. The driver of the Sonata, 47-year-old Aurelia Clark, suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The other driver, identified as 53-year-old Ellen Daugherty, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
