What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a woman at Marsh Lane and Dove Creek Ln in Carrollton, TX on October 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened as a vehicle believed to have been street racing collided with another vehicle. The racing vehicle, said to be a Chevrolet Camaro, lost control and veered into oncoming traffic to cause the collision. Following the collision, the vehicle left the scene. A woman in the vehicle that was struck, identified as Aurora Canales, suffered fatal injuries. Five children in the same vehicle were hospitalized for evaluation and treatment of possible injuries.
