What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-20 and Bowman Springs Rd in Arlington, TX on October 2nd, 2021. Police say it happened around 10:02 a.m. A Toyota Corolla operated by 27-year-old Barni Abdi Omar was reportedly traveling westbound on I-20 with a flat back tire at a rate of 20 to 20 mph on a 70 mph lane. A tractor-trailer operated by a 41-year-old Cedar Hill man approached the vehicle and may have failed to control its speed before it collided with the rear of a Corolla, causing minor injuries to both drivers when the truck overturned and the Corolla was pushed from the road.
