What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed two people involved at Samuell Blvd in Dallas, TX on June 22nd, 2024. Police are saying it happened around 11:05 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Crown Victoria was eastbound on Samuell Blvd before allegedly running a red light at the intersection with St Francis Ave. There, reports say the vehicle collided with a Chevrolet Equinox headed southbound. The impact is said to have caused both vehicles to leave the roadway, the Chevrolet crashing into a fence and shed before rotating into a pole. The Ford overturned in the impact ejecting at least two occupants from the vehicle. Three occupants, one identified as 26-year-old Briana Garrett, were seriously injured. The driver, identified as 28-year-old Juan Quiroga Jr, was fatally injured. Also killed was 20-year-old passenger, Benjamin Calderon. Police say the occupants of the Chevrolet had possible, unconfirmed injuries. Additional information was not available.
