What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that I-35 in Belton, TX on September 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened when a southbound motorcycle was traveling between two semi-trucks. The vehicle struck the left side of one of the trucks before veering into the rear of the other truck and was struck by one of its tires. The impact caused the operator of the motorcycle, identified as 27-year-old Benjamin Jaquez Strickland, to be ejected from the vehicle and struck by the wheels of the other truck.  Strickland was pronounced dead at the scene.
