Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Loop 494 and Hamblen Rd in Houston, TX on March 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:55 a.m. According to investigators, a construction tractor-trailer operated by 29-year-old Jose Fabian Gonzalez was headed northbound on Loop 494 approaching the intersection with Hamblen Rd. The truck is said to have collided with a bicycle operated by 26-year-old Bernardo Trejo. Police say the area was dark at the time of the collision and there was no lighting on the bicycle. Trejo suffered fatal injuries from the collision. Additional information was not immediately available.
