What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at State Hwy 71 in Llano County, TX on July 26th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:34 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 45-year-old Eagle Pass man reportedly was headed eastbound when it pulled over into a private drive after passing its intended entrance. The vehicle then turned when unsafe to perform a u-turn when a Nissan Sentra operated by 52-year-old Billy Brooks, collided with the side of the truck. Brooks suffered serious injuries. The Eagle Pass man was not injured and cited for Turning When Unsafe.
