What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at US 75 in Richardson, TX on July 31st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:57 a.m. According to investigators, a Mack truck operated by a 47-year-old driver was northbound approaching a vehicle that was previously involved a separate accident. As it approached, police say the truck struck a Jeep Cherokee, operated by 35-year-old Billy Christopher. Christopher suffered suspected serious injuries, according to police. A child passenger, age 11, had suspected minor injuries while a 34-year-old passenger was evaluated for possible injuries. The truck operator was not injured, according to investigators. A Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued.
