What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at State Hwy 154 in Wood County, TX on May 1st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Wrangler operated by 28-year-old Bradford Hawley was headed westbound from a parking lot to turn left onto Hwy 154. As it pulled out, the vehicle is said to have pulled into the path of a northbound motorcycle operated by a 27-year-old Quitman man. The Jeep veered from the road into a nearby portable building, causing Hawley serious injuries. The Quitman man, who police allege consumed alcohol prior to driving, was also seriously injured, according to reports.
