What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 59 in Cass County, TX on December 6th, 2021. They say that it happened around 7:10 a.m. A Toyota Tundra operated by 21-year-old Bradon Prewitt was headed southbound on US 59 when officials say the truck failed to slow and collided with a stopped tractor-trailer operated by a 31-year-old Magnolia, AR man. The tractor-trailer is said to have been stopped due to a school bus ahead picking up or unloading students. Prewitt suffered fatal injuries in the collision while the Magnolia man was uninjured.
