What Happened

Farmersville Police have information on a three-vehicle crash that killed a teen at Hwy 78 and County Rd 556 in Farmersville, TX on May 11th, 2022. Officers say it occurred around 1 p.m. Their investigation revealed a passenger vehicle headed southbound traveling into northbound lanes to go around a semi-truck ahead. Police say as the vehicle did so, it came up on a second semi-truck approaching head-on. To avoid a collision, the car is believed to have traveled further left, clipping the truck and crashing into a power pole. The impact sent the truck into the southbound lanes where it collided head-on with another vehicle, killing its driver, identified as 19-year-old Caleb Jonathan Edwards.
