What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 281 in Jack County, TX on March 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. Investigators say a Mazda 3 operated by 31-year-old Robert Belyeu was headed southbound while a Honda Pilot operated by 34-year-old Shaun Gregory was headed northbound. Police allege that Belyeu was driving while intoxicated and veered from the road before overcorrected across a barrow ditch and collided with the Pilot. A passenger, identified as 34-year-old Callie Gregory, was possibly injured as were several child passengers. Belyeu suffered serious injuries and records indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was issued.
