Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at East 42nd St in Odessa, TX on April 20th, 2024. Police say the incident happen around 5:56 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Civic headed westbound is said to have veered from the roadway for unclear reasons before striking a power pole. Authorities say the driver of the vehicle, identified as 21-year-old Carla Mendez was hospitalized with injuries she later died from. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
