Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at Belt Line Rd in Grand Prairie, TX on March 17th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. According to investigators, a pickup truck, allegedly operated by 24-year-old Clesiz Leiva, was southbound on Belt Line prior to crossing into northbound lanes of travel. There, reports say the vehicle collided Otha. Jeep SUV, operated by 33-year-old Carlos Alberto Aria Vera. Sources say Vera died at the scene while a passenger in his vehicle was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Leiva was charged with intoxication manslaughter, reports allege, as well as aggravated assault. Additional information was not immediately available.
