Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 955 in Fayette County, TX on September 23rd, 2022. Police believe the incident happened around 9 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 was exiting a private drive without active lighting when it was struck by a southbound Lexus. Following the collision, the Ford driver fled the scene prior to police arrival. The two occupants of the Lexus, identified as 72-year-old Charles Heimsath and 70-year-old Christy Heimsath, were both seriously injured. Officers allege suspicion the Ford operator may have been under the influence of alcohol.
