What Happened

Officials are investigating a wrong-way crash that occurred around 3:30 a.m. on October 27th, 2024, on Northwest Loop 820 near Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth. According to police, a Ford Focus carrying a family of four was allegedly traveling in the wrong direction when it collided with another vehicle. The Ford Focus caught fire, killing everyone inside. A woman in the second vehicle,  identified as 33-year-old Chelsea Cook, was also killed. Reports say a second occupant, said to be her fiancé, was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. Authorities have not released the identifies or ages of the victims, and the cause remains under investigation. Additional information was not available.
