What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at Pearce Ln in Travis County, TX on January 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:33 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 27-year-old Del Valle, TX man is said to have been headed southbound on TX 130 as it approached a stop sign at the intersection with Pearce Ln. Police say the vehicle pulled away from the stop sign and was attempting a left turn when it was struck by a westbound Honda Accord operated by 19-year-old Chely Karely Linares. Linares suffered serious injuries in the collision. The Del Valle man was not injured. Investigators say the truck failing to yield at the stop sign contributed to the crash.
