Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a child at County Road 328 in Smith County, TX on May 1st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:03 p.m. Investigators are saying a Cadillac CTS operated by a 26-year-old Tyler woman was headed westbound on County Road 328 when it lost control at a curve and veered from the road into a bar wire fence. A 2-year-old in the vehicle was seriously injured while the Tyler woman was not injured. Reports indicate she was charged with DWI W/Child Younger Than 15 Years of Age.
