What Happened

Lubbock Police have identified the person killed in a collision at Hwy 87 and FM 41 in Lubbock, TX on August 20th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8 a.m. A pickup truck headed eastbound on FM 41 collided with a motorcycle at an intersection that had been traveling southbound on Hwy 87. The motorcyclist, identified as 28-year-old Christopher Lee Lopez, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Police say Lopez was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The pickup truck driver was not injured.
