What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured two people at I-45 in Conroe, TX on January 12th, 2022. They say the incident happened around 9:34 p.m. A Toyota Corolla operated by 18-year-old Cinnamon Denise Kittrell was headed southbound on I-45, allegedly at a high rate of speed, before it reportedly attempted to cross in front of a tractor-trailer. The Toyota then lost control and crashed into a concrete barrier before hitting the front left of the tractor-trailer. Kittrell suffered serious injuries while a 19-year-old passenger was less seriously injured. The truck driver was not injured. Records show a Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued against Kittrell.
