Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a driver at State Hwy 81 in Hill County, TX on August 4th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:46 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 21-year-old Huntsville man was headed southbound on TX 81 approaching FM 67 when it reportedly disregarded the posted stop sign and proceeded into the intersection. The truck collided with a Nissan Sentra operated by 60-year-old Ciriaco Saldierna Mendez, who suffered minor injuries. The Huntsville man was not injured and was cited for Disregarding a Stop Sign.
