Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed one person at State Hwy 190 in Schleicher County, TX on September 15th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:15 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado headed westbound is said to have collided head-on with a Dodge 1500 headed eastbound, allegedly in a no-pass zone. Officials say the Silverado operator, identified as 38-year-old Claudia Guadalupe Castillo, suffered fatal injuries. The operator of the Dodge, identified as 66-year-old Jimmy Lee Setchfield, was hospitalized with injuries believed to be serious in nature. Additional information was not available.
