What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a two-vehicle accident at Sam Houston Dr and Crescent Dr in Victoria, TX on October 11th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:08 a.m. A Ford F-250 operated by a 27-year-old Victoria, TX man was headed northwest in a left turn lane at Sam Houston Dr. Meanwhile, a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 20-year-old Cobe Jamel Dillard was headed northwest in an inside lane. The Ford reportedly changed lanes while failing to control its speed and in the process collided with the Tahoe. Ot then veered into a street sign and tree. That driver was seriously injured and charged with Intoxication Assault, according to reports. Dillard also suffered serious injuries while a 19-year-old male passenger was less seriously injured.
