What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed a woman at FM 225 in Rusk County, TX on August 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. A Kia Forte operated by 39-year-old Shaun Cooper was headed southbound on FM 225 when it reportedly crossed a center stripe and collided with a Kia Optima operated by 36-year-old Conshneka Williams. Williams was hospitalized with injuries she later died from. Cooper was hospitalized in critical condition. Additional information was not available.
