What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-45 in New Waverly, TX on September 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:59 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by a 21-year-old Huntsville man was headed southbound on I-45 along with a GMC Sierra operated by 29-year-old Crescencio Franco. Police say the GMC may have failed to control its speed before colliding with the rear of the Dodge. The Dodge lost control and crashed into a center barrier before overturning into a median. The GMC veered from the road into a field. The Huntsville man suffered minor injuries while Franco suffered serious injuries. Police recommended and/or issued charges for Failure to Stop and Render Aid and No Driver License.
